Holiday Gift Guide – The Gamer

This gift guide is for those who know little to nothing about video games, and are trying to figure out what to get the gamer in their life. I’ll admit that this gift guide was a bit of a struggle for two reasons: 1. I am one of those people who knows little to nothing about the world of video games, and 2. I was struggling to find good options for gifts under $50 for this category. I hope that this guide can still help everyone find a gift for the gamer!

Budget-Friendly (Under $50)

sonic Pop! figure

Gift the gamer in your life a Pop! figure of their favourite video game character!

xbox christmas tree ornaments

Incorporate their love of video games into the holiday season – it may be the only way you can get them to put down the controller and come decorate the tree! Gift them these Xbox Christmas ornaments so they can add their own special touch to the tree.

Help them customize their controller with cool thumb grips like these Legend of Zelda or Super Mario ones!

Mid-Price Point ($150 and under)

playstation hard drive

The dreaded day has come. They want to download a new game, but they’ve run out of storage on their PlayStation. Gift them an external hard drive so they don’t have to make the difficult choice of which games to keep and which to delete!

animal crossing: new horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons hasn’t just been popular among long-time Animal Crossing fans – it’s been popular among many people who have been searching for some kind of entertainment during lockdown. Gift them this fun escape from reality this year!

gaming headset

Do they miss being able to hang out with friends and play video games together? Gift them a gaming headset this year, so they can still talk to their friends while they play!

What’s a Price Limit?

gaming chair

Let them game in comfort and style with the gift of a gaming chair!

You can also, of course, always get them the latest gaming console of their choice. Whether it’s Nintendo, PlayStation, or Xbox. Although, if you’re planning to get them the PlayStation 5, it might be time to come up with a backup plan – I’ve heard it’s been near impossible for people to get their hands on one!

Happy gifting!

Until next time,
Nadine
