I found this garlic bread recipe while searching through some of my grandma’s recipe books. I’m not sure if she got the recipe from a cookbook, or if she made it up or got it from another family member, as it was just written out in her own writing. But it is nice and garlicky, so if you’re a garlic-lover then this recipe is for you!

- 1 loaf of French bread
- 8 cloves garlic (chopped)
- 8 tbs butter (softened)
- 2 tbs garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Mix garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper together. Set aside.
Microwave garlic and butter together in a bowl (about 1 minute). Once melted, add spice mixture to the butter.
Slice loaf in half lengthwise. Spread mixture onto inside of the loaf.
Put butter side down on a cookie sheet. Put another cookie sheet on top. Bake 5-10 minutes at 380F.
Enjoy!
